Abstract

This study analyzes job analysis, recruitment, and selection practices at PT. Transdata Satkomindo's branch in Apical, Lubuk Gaung, Dumai. The telecommunications and construction industries' operational complexity is reflected in the company's staffing structure, with technical positions dominating at 30.4%. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, utilizing semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis. Findings reveal comprehensive job analysis practices, multi-level recruitment strategies, and a strong focus on occupational health and safety. The company's HR practices align with industry-specific needs, emphasizing technical expertise, safety, and quality. However, areas for improvement include employee development, HSE integration in HR practices, and administrative efficiency evaluation. While providing valuable insights into HR practices in Indonesia's telecommunications and construction sector, particularly at the branch level, the study's limitation to a single branch necessitates further research for a more comprehensive understanding of industry-wide practices.
