Abstract

This study aims to evaluate job design at PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk. (ICBP) using quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires adapted from the Job Diagnostic Survey (JDS) and Work Design Questionnaire (WDQ), while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). The findings indicate that job design at ICBP is fairly effective in enhancing employee motivation and performance. Skill variety, task identity, and task significance scored highly, whereas job autonomy requires improvement. The use of technology and automation has increased efficiency but necessitates additional training. A strong organizational culture is acknowledged, yet there is a need to improve communication and engagement. Awareness of sustainability and social responsibility is also high. Recommendations for improvement include enhancing job autonomy, providing technology training, better communication, integrating sustainability practices, strengthening organizational culture, managing diversity, and improving employee well-being. Implementing these recommendations is expected to boost employee motivation, satisfaction, and performance, as well as the company's competitiveness
